BLACK LIVES MATTER!
Is more than a slogan. These are our lives on the line for the mere color of our skin. Something that’s so beyond our control, but they are terrified nonetheless. At this point the problem speaks louder than ever. Shows even brighter on every phone screen when police decide to take our lives in their hands. The question is no longer when will it stop, the question is what will WE do about it. I choose to use my voice to teach and my ears to listen. I choose to change the narrative not only for my bloodline, but hopefully for the ones around me too. I believe in us, and I believe in the change. We have been going for 400+ years; what’s a little longer?

“TARGET PRACTICE”
“I always thought it was ironic that the first store looted was a Target. People lost their mind, as if it was a church or a daycare. Made a big fuss as if they truly cared, as if insurance already wasn’t making the replacement orders. Now I don’t condone any violence, but people are out of cheeks to turn. People are ANGRY and you have to understand that. Wouldn’t you be angry if police used you as target practice and just called it a mistake?”

“The media is always showing you exactly what it wants people to see. At this point of my life I don’t know what to believe anymore. People will be a certain a way above the surface just to be completely different behind closed doors. Police have been seen publicly embracing us as people, and also seen killing us one by one. The media will always make sure you see either one…when it wants you too.
